Description
Provides students with a comprehensive experience in clinical endocrinology by combining inpatient and outpatient experiences at SCVMC, Stanford (SHC), and PAVA. Students will attend 6-7 clinics per week at the three institutions. Each clinic has approximately 15 to 30 patients who are seen by students, residents, and fellows with faculty members in endocrinology. In addition, students will participate in inpatient endocrine consultation services at Stanford (SHC). Clinical conferences, teaching rounds, grand rounds each week will cover a broad array of endocrine and metabolic problems in both clinical and research spheres. Working at the three hospitals during the clerkship will require travel.

Prerequisites
Medicine 300A.

Periods Available
1-12, full-time for four weeks. 2 students per period.
