PATH 300B. Pathology Clerkship (PAVAHCS)

Description
A relatively unstructured program designed to acquaint students with the practice of necropsy, cytopathology and surgical pathology and to reinforce and stimulate reading. Clinical correlations are stressed, and students are encouraged to take responsibility for necropsies, interpreting surgical pathology specimens, and doing frozen sections, all with the staff. Conferences at the PAVAHCS and SUMC are held daily. Please note: Visiting students must obtain approval from Rachael Buenafe-Jacinto prior to applying for this clerkship. Prerequisites
Knowledge of general pathology or consent of instructor.

Periods Available
1-12, full-time for four weeks (no shorter time allowed). 2 students per period.
